Showing true HEART
Situated along the shores of the Indian Ocean, Kenya stands as an independent republic gaining it’s freedom from England in 1963. With a population of 53,005,614 as of the 2021 census, Kenya is the 7th most populous country in Africa. It holds the status of being the economic and transit nucleus of East Africa, leading to the expansion of a growing middle class. Nevertheless, the nation contends with an unemployment rate hovering at approximately 36 percent, while insufficient infrastructure and pervasive corruption have impeded its journey toward economic advancement and progress. Over 7.8 million people live in extreme poverty living on less than $57 per month. Compound this with 1.4 million people living with HIV. The challenges of inflation and scarcities in food supply have continued to afflict the nation since 2012.
