Nicholas joined HEART in February 2016. He is responsible for the development of a team of functional leaders in grants management, programs, and finance that ensures optimal delivery of services to all HEART stakeholders. He also ensures proper management of strategic, financial, compliance/legal and operational risks. Nicholas has over 18 years experience in donor and corporate financial management and reporting, external and internal auditing, risk management and institutional capacity building. Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree; Certified Public Accountants (CPA) and Certified Public Secretary (CPS) and he is a Certified Monitoring & Evaluation Expert. He is a member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Institute of Certified Secretaries of Kenya (ICSK), Kenya Institute of Management (MKIM) and Institute of Human Resources Management of Kenya (IHRM).
ISAAC MZEE
TEAMS AND ADMINISTRATION DIRECTOR
Isaac joined HEART in July 2006 part-time and full time in January 2007. He was formerly a language and culture instructor at Baptist Language School in Limuru. Isaac’s long term experience with different cultures and nationalities while at Language School has contributed to him fitting well with
all the communities HEART serves. Isaac travels widely as a representative of HEART. Has undergone various leadership and capacity trainings on community development and his interpersonal skills enables him connect easily with Kenyans and HEART’s international teams and guests. Isaac is married to Winnie and they have four children.
CHARLES OBES
HEART LODGE MANAGER
Obes joined HEART in 2004. He has helped oversee the growth of the HEART Lodge up to its current level He has a diploma in Hotel Management Skills and Guest Relations. He has over 15 years of experience in the hotel industry. Before coming to HEART, he worked for Hotel Executives and Heritage Hotels. Obes is married to Billiah, and they have four children.
